Your Superclone Can Last a Decade (With Proper Care)
A premium superclone from DR.WATCH uses the same Swiss/Asian automatic movement architecture as genuine luxury watches. The same care principles apply: wind correctly, avoid magnets, service periodically, and store properly. Here’s the complete maintenance guide.
Daily Care
- Crown: ALWAYS screw down after setting time. Unscrewed crown = water entry risk.
- Magnets: Keep 6+ inches from phone speakers, laptop hinges, wireless chargers, and magnetic phone cases.
- Chemicals: Remove before applying perfume, sunscreen, or cleaning products (gasket degradation).
- Water: 100m+ rated models are swim-safe (crown screwed down!). Avoid hot tubs and saunas (gasket damage). Rinse with fresh water after saltwater exposure.
Service Schedule
- Swiss ETA/Sellita movements: Service every 5-7 years. Cost: $100-$250 at any independent watchmaker.
- Asian automatic movements: Service every 3-5 years. Cost: $80-$200.
- Signs you need service NOW: Gaining/losing 30+ seconds/day, crown feels gritty, power reserve noticeably shorter, moisture under crystal.
Cleaning
- Case and bracelet: Soft toothbrush + warm soapy water (dish soap). Scrub gently in link gaps. Rinse thoroughly. Dry with microfiber.
- Crystal: Microfiber cloth + breath (no chemical cleaners — they can strip AR coating).
- Frequency: Every 2-4 weeks for daily-wear watches.
Storage
- Watch box with individual cushions (prevents scratching)
- Away from electronics (magnetism)
- Away from windows (UV degrades lume and dials)
- If storing 3+ months: wind manually for 30 turns before wearing again (circulates lubricant)
DR.WATCH Warranty
Every watch includes a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects (movement, case, bracelet, crystal). If anything fails within 12 months of normal wear: we replace it. Browse our collection. Free worldwide shipping.
