What 904L Means for You
- Corrosion resistance: 904L contains 23-28% nickel and 4-5% molybdenum — making it resistant to seawater, sweat, chlorine, and everyday chemicals that corrode cheaper steels over years of daily wear
- Polish quality: The high nickel content allows 904L to take a mirror polish that 316L physically cannot achieve. Our polished center links and bezel surfaces have the same depth and warmth as genuine Rolex
- Weight match: 904L has the same 8.0 g/cm³ density as the authentic — our watches weigh within 2-5 grams of the genuine reference. The heft on your wrist is identical.
- Hypoallergenic: Despite higher nickel content, the chromium oxide passivation layer on 904L prevents skin contact with nickel — making it suitable for most wearers with mild nickel sensitivity

- Case finishing: Visual inspection under 10x magnification for polishing uniformity, brushing consistency, and edge sharpness

- Bezel action: Unidirectional bezels tested for 120-click precision; bidirectional bezels for smooth rotation
